Adaptive Surf Organizations
Adaptive Surfing is...?
In the water with Madison:
Surf Sesh's Goals align with:

People with and without disabilities can learn more about water safety, how to take care of the ocean, and learn how to create an environment that includes equality and accessibility for people with disabilities.

People with disabilities can and will be employed to ensure accessibility for all and gain professional skills that would benefit in the workforce.

Providing sports and recreational access to people with disabilities is important because everyone is welcome in the water.

Local and international communities can learn to be sustainable.

People of all walks of life can be taught how to manage resources and repurpose ocean plastic.

SDG 14 is a huge one and the main focus of Surf Sesh. People with disabilities can bring awareness to the issues in the ocean and how to protect and conserve life below water.

With the land connected to the ocean, people with disabilities can strongly advocate for freshwater rivers, streams, and saltwater ponds and the ocean.
‘Īnana Innovators Program
Surf Sesh was born as a project in the ‘Īnana Innovators Program at Chaminade University of Honolulu in the summer of 2023. ‘Īnana Innovators Program was designed to take on the United Nations SDGs and students learn to become sustainable entrepreneurs in order to make their own sustainable ideas into businesses.
